Why I like this song:

Original video located here. Accessed 24th October 2017

Song title: Whoever's Been Using This Bed

Artist: Earthmen

Year: 1997

Why I like this song:

Behold: An Australian band having a crack at the Brtipop formula
Another forgotten classic - funny how so many winning songs tend to slip through the cracks....
No matter: i recall liking this song a lot back in 1997. And I recently heard it's parent album - which turned out to be pretty good

Nineties Revisited: Gorecki

Original video located here. Accessed 17th October 2017

Song title: Gorecki

Artist: Lamb

Year: 1997

Why I like this song:

I'm somewhat surprised that this song didn't trigger a baby boom on par with Marvin Gaye and Barry White.
Or maybe it did? I don't know XD

But somehow, this strikes me as a nineties update on the 'make-out' music of the seventies. And boy does it do it's job so well.

This song always fascinated me. It's a great depiction of disappointment, backed with a rockin' intro and outro. Props to Sarah McLeod who delivers one of the best vocal performances of her career

Got it Covered: New York City

Original video located here. Accessed 2nd October 2017

Song title: New York City

Artist: They Might Be Giants

Originally Done By: CUB

Year: 1997

Why I like this song:

Recently I learned this song is actually a cover. Now I know how fans of Natalie Imbruglia feel....

Still, it's a snappy song and They Might Be Giants really latch onto the cheerfulness of it all. Annoying? Maybe. Dull? Certainly not.
