Why I like this song:
Recently I got a hold of the Queens of the Stone Age self-titled debut.
It seems fair to say that this has become forgotten in the wake of the one-two punch of Rated R and Songs for the Deaf. Looking back, this does seem like the first steps of a new band that's trying to forge it's own identity.
But, with hindsight, the strengths of this band already seem place: The guitar work, Josh Homme's distinctive vocals and his drive. It's a solid foundation and worth building upon...
