One of the many songs that represent a time and place.
For me, this song, and it's parent album, was a constant companion in the year of 2004 and firm reminder of both taking one's steps out into the real world and the tedium of unemployment.

Why I like this song:
It's a typical pop song narrative: Everyone knows your first big hit but they struggle to remember what happened afterwards.
Needless to say, I was quite surprised to find out that Franz Ferdinand were still going, even when it seemed that the rest of the world had given up on them
But what does it matter? This song was fantastic and easily among their best. So it looks like there may be still some gas in that tank....
