Why I like this song:

Again, this is an oddity: The music is all over the place and the lyrics are both nonsensical and contradictory. Still, there are nuggets of interest: I like the harp sample throughout the chorus, the "don't stop" before the second chorus, and how the lyrics seems to illustrate conflicting emotions.

So yes, in the end, this song does it's job and it does it well.

Why I like this song:

Sometimes you just need to forget the sampling, the covers, the memes and the O.C. connection and remind yourself that the song behind it all is actually a really good one.

Again this is a triumph of doing a lot with very little. The vocoder may be derided as a musical gadget but here it works wonders.
