Why I like this song:
As I'm getting older, and absorb more music, it subsequently becomes harder to come across something that stands out.
And then something like this comes along.
Ye gods, does this hit like a truck. Never in my life have I heard a song that articulates the dread of my approaching forties, where everyone seems to be doing better than you and life has passed you by.
The fact that the lyrics presents a problem but then offers no resolution makes it even more striking.
